The name Blue Sage holds special significance. “Blue” represents my Nana’s favorite color, a reminder of her constant encouragement and the inspiration she poured into my creativity. “Sage” comes from my little sister’s middle name—and sage green happens to be my favorite color—making the name a blend of the people who ground me and the colors that bring me peace. Only after choosing it did I discover that blue sage is also known as grandmother sage, which felt like a beautiful confirmation that the name was always meant to be.
